Want a younger, more qualified workforce? Help us support the next generation of skilled boat enthusiasts. Core Plus Maritime brings employer values to high school classrooms and utilizes K12 to build awareness, skills, and confidence before graduation. We have an outstanding network of instructors who love maritime. Students are going directly into industry, training programs, USNavy, & USCG. We depend on industry support to be successful.

  • INDUSTRY SPONSORS

    Donations to Core Plus Maritime are tax deductible through our Seattle Industry Foundation, a 501c(3) non-profit supported by the Manufacturing Industrial Council of Seattle.

    Suggested prices for yearly industry sponsors are below.

    • 1 – 25 employees: $1,000
    • 26 – 100 employees: $2,500
    • Over 100 employees: $5,000+
    • Public Organizations & Business Associations: TBD
    • One Time Donation: TBD

  • STATE FUNDING CUTS

    Core Plus funding was eliminated in the 2025 state budget cuts, one year after it was named a Model Program for Career Learning in HB 2236. Core Plus Maritime classrooms received $550,000 per year and program development received $125,000 per year.

    Teacher salaries and shop facilities are paid for by their school districts. Program development cuts directly impact staff salaries and the ability to keep the program going as we work on restoring state funds. Help is greatly appreciated as we work to bring back state funding.

  • INDUSTRY ENGAGEMENT

    STUDENTS GO WHERE THEY KNOW!

    Industry can visit classrooms, attend events, review or contribute curriculum, donate materials, serve on advisory, provide teacher training – it’s their call!

    Student events and teacher training also need sponsors. If you’re interested in supporting an event or training, contact Tory Gering: tory@seattleindustry.org.
